After Junior High I went to Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School. The current band director is Mr. D. Dewolfe. Mr. John Hood retired at the end of the 1999/2000 school year. In grade 10 we played for elementary schools at Christmas time and for Weymouth Consolidated school. For the 2000-2001 school year, we played at Hillcrest Academy in Shelburne. Below is Mr. Hood's final concert.
Throughout high school, in the summer, I continued to go to jazz camp at Acadia. In grade 12, I furthered my jazz experience even more when I became a member of NHJ (Nova Scotia Honour Jazz) which meets 2-3 times a year to play together.
